AusAID, the Australian Government’s overseas aid agency, is expected shortly
to request tenders from eligible organisations in a two-step tendering
process for the Provincial Road Management Facility. The PRMF will assist
provincial governments in selected provinces of Mindanao and the Visayas to
implement a comprehensive capacity building program alongside the provision
of physical road rehabilitation and maintenance work.
The SMEC/SKM
association is experienced in the provision of infrastructure facilities for
AusAID and is currently preparing to tender for the provision of these
services in the Philippines. We are seeking highly qualified and innovative
consultants to fill a number of roles including facility director and
technical directors. Roles will commence early in 2009 and will be long term
positions.
Applicant Requirements:
- Philippines Road Management and Maintenance experience
- Experience working at the Provincial level, particularly in Mindanao
and the Visayas
- Experience in Institutional strengthening, government systems and
policy development - particularly in relation to planning, financial
management and implementation of road maintenance projects or
infrastructure delivery
- Experience working on AusAID or other major donor programs - World
Bank, ADB, JBIC, USAID or DFID
- Capacity building and training experience in the Philippines
- Ability to live and travel through the provinces, particularly
Mindanao and the Visayas.
